July Adventures

Updated: Jul 28

Hello Fine People :),

I hope this finds you enjoying all kinds of summer magic! Nature draws us out of our familiar ways with sunsets, sunrises, water fun, picnicking and the sounds of summer breezes. It’s a time for big celebrations and tiny ones, loud festivities and quiet ones! Gathering with loved ones and gathering your own self for some quiet moments. And reading, all kinds of reading! Big books, small ones, read aloud and read alone. Ah! Summer time.

Reading with kids during vacation time creates many opportunities for togetherness and discovery. These relaxing moments are perfect for being curious about your young one. No matter what the story, it’s easy to ask the child in your life if something in the story reminds them of something they like or don’t like, something they agree with or not. These kinds of moments can create a lovely meeting place for connection, understanding, valuing, laughter and togetherness - summer gold.

One of the highlights for me this summer has been the conversation I had with Nadia Kidwai from CBC Winnipeg’s Weekend Morning Show. She was interested in highlighting my new children’s picture book “The Memory Bag Game”. Nadia was well prepared with great questions and we packed a lot of information into ten minutes! I’m so grateful to her for her interest and curiosity and spreading the word about my book! This interview is posted on my website for any interested listeners. Click the button below to listen now!

I also want to say Thank You to All of You! Thank you for renewing connections, sharing the fun of the book, purchasing a copy, and writing a review! The June launch of “The Memory Bag Game” has created a time for so much connection, fun, and gratitude! It is your kind support that created a best seller designation! Many, many thanks! Wishing you all kinds of summer magic!

🌟 Keep Shining! Cath
